The education I received from this gem on American hand made was unexpected. I discovered this book in a gift shop while visiting Deerfield, Mass when I was attending the first Flax symposium a few years back. The way this book is structured really spoke to me; organizing each chapter into a focus on just one object and it’s history and influence. Again, learning so much along the way. It helped transform me into more of a fiber history nerd and not just a fiber nerd.
