Hello, thanks for stopping by! Here you’ll find my current list of class offerings. These are not classes that are scheduled but rather, just a list of my classics that I currently offer. In addition to these, I can also create a tailored hybrid class for you.

After each class descriptor I have indicated the time allotment. The time set is the minimum time needed. If there is a + it means the class can be expanded if you wish. Please reach out via email for any questions:

🍀Natural Dye Intensive:

Learn the ins and outs from beginning to end the very best way to prepare your fibers for bright long lasting colors. 6+hours

🍀Straw to Gold; Intro to spinning cellulose fibers

Get comfy with handling flax, hemp and nettle in your wheel. You don’t need a separate wheel for spinning wool and than another for cellulose fibers. I’ll show you how to use the one you have with all fibers. Prepping your cellulose yarn afterwards will also be discussed and can be demonstrated. 4 hours

🍀Aran Origins; an intro to cables and textured knitting:

An intro to cable and texture knitting from an Irish historical context. Learn pattern motifs, where Aran knitting originated from and just how delightful it is to knit with cables. 3+hours

🍀Lichen Dye Lab:

You’ll take home knowledge of what lichens are and how they grow. How to identify a lichen, how to identify the various groups of lichens, and how to test them for a particular dye. The three lichen dye methods will also be practiced . Taught with an ecological context and respect for the landscape. 4+hours

🍀Landscape Sampler:

Eco printing is such a beautiful way to capture memories, preserve flowers and plants in a particular season and fantastic for turning a plain cloth into something new, fresh, and stunning. Taught with an ecological context and respect for the landscape. 4+hours

🍀Scrappy Bears:

Use any yarn with any needle size and create a dear stuffy for a loved one or yourself! A quick 1 day knit that is a delight to knit up and makes a great gift. 6hours

🍀Foraging for Color:

Take a walk with me and collect various plants, mushrooms, wildflowers. We’ll set up experiments to find out what colors our collected flora and fungi has hidden. Always taught with an ecological context and respect for the landscape. 4+ hours
